Vivienne Tam New York Fashion Week Spring 2011 runway

Vivienne Tam held her runway show during New York Fashion Week on September 11, 2010. The Spring collection from Vivienne Tam is feminine and flowing; featuring various styles of warm weather dresses. Vivienne Tam always shows a collection full of dresses in softer fabrics that easily blend her personal designs as well as current trends and styles. Tam's Spring 2011 collection has stayed true to the style that her fan's have come to expect and love.

Vivienne Tam showed both long and short dresses on the runway in soft chiffon, lace and crochet. The hemlines were varied, which is similar to what other designer during Fashion Week in New York have been showing. Hemlines are hitting at the ankle for long, flowing dresses with spaghetti straps or halter necklines. Shorter hemlines which hit at the knee or mid-thigh feature everything from halter necklines to short sleeves to long sleeves to artisan style sleeves. Vivienne Tam showed chambray blue, navy blue, cream and a calm red in her show's color palette for Spring. This is in line with the shows from most other designers that have shied away from the brighter colors from their resort collections and moved into a softer color palette for Spring. Vivienne Tam's collection has stood-out thus far during fashion week as she has incorporated the ladylike or feminine trend in with her signature style.
