Valpixel SFFW Runway Review
Valpixel closed the show on July 31, 2010 during San Francisco Fashion Week. Starting with a fresh, abstract, artistic design, Valpixel brought originality not only to San Francisco Fashion Week, but to the entire fashion world. Amazing muted colors worked together on abstract patterns that were sewn in patchwork designs in conjunction with black fabric. Valpixel's color theme was a refreshing take on today's styles.
Valpixel created new silhouettes unseen in previous season's or fashion era's. The use of hoods that can be worn on the head or draped on the back gave an artsy yet practical perspective on how to keep warm when the fog rolls in from the bay. The fabric was made from natural fibers and was sewn loosely yet not too wide. The patterns were cut diagonally and hemlines hit mid-thigh to the top of the knee. The dresses were shown with tights or black leggings. Some of the fabric patterns were done in a painterly fashion giving a definite art vibe to the show. The use of salmon, yellow, orange and natural colors made the line wearable for most Fashionistas with any hair color or skin color. Valpixel created looks which can be worn during the day or spiced up at night with high heels, fabulous earrings and a clutch. The collection is perfect for Fashionistas who wish to display a unique style unlike any other.
